Intel is already sampling its next-generation core, Panther Lake, Intel’s new co-chief govt instructed reporters at CES 2025 on Monday morning. It is going to ship within the second half of 2025.
Intel is already sampling Panther Lake to prospects, Michelle Johnston Holthaus, Intel’s head of Intel Merchandise and its newly appointed co-chief govt, stated throughout her CES keynote. Panther Lake will probably be fabricated on Intel 18A, the final of Intel’s “five process nodes in four years” technique. She held up what she stated was an early prototype Panther Lake chip for the CES viewers.
Usually, Intel launches desktop processors first, and follows them up with cell processor launches within the late fall.
Sadly, Holthaus didn’t tease any efficiency knowledge for Panther Lake, as she has performed with earlier processors. As a substitute, Johnston stated that “everything that you love about Lunar Lake, [Panther Lake] will take it to the next level.”
“I love what I see,” Holthaus stated. “2025 will be a critical year for Intel. And, as I look across our business, I see a lot to look forward to.”
